As traffic in Asia-Pacific continues to grow, collaborative, data-driven approaches are essential for effective flow and capacity management. Global Aviation Insights (GAIN) is the first globally collaborative data and analytics initiative designed by ANSPs for ANSPs, enabling standardised measurement of airspace efficiency to support sustainable capacity planning.
This panel, chaired by GAIN Steering Group Chair Rachel Gardner-Poole OBE, brings together perspectives from NATS, CANSO, and Cathay Pacific Airways to explore how GAIN’s insights can strengthen stakeholder conversations around operational efficiency and environmental performance. While GAIN is a tool for ANSPs, its value lies in enabling transparent, evidence-based dialogue with airlines and other aviation stakeholders, helping to align efforts, build trust, and accelerate progress toward shared sustainability goals. The discussion will also highlight how broader industry initiatives such as CANSO’s Green ATM accreditation can contribute to a more efficient and sustainable future for the region’s airspace.
