Almira Ramadani

FAA

Senior Air Traffic Representative for Asia-Pacific

Ms. Almira Ramadani is an FAA Senior International Air Traffic Representative for Asia-Pacific. As the focal technical liaison on air traffic matters since 2023, she collaborates with regional air navigation service providers and international organizations on operational issues and advancing Air Traffic Management (ATM). In this role, Almira actively advocates for the harmonization of aviation technologies, standards, and procedures, and supports initiatives aiming to enhance aviation system performance in the Asia-Pacific region.

Almira’s expertise encompasses operational and performance analyses of current and next-generation aviation systems, coupled with validation of ATM concepts and requirements to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This expertise has been strengthened over more than twenty-five years of experience with ATM and NextGen projects in academia, the private sector, and the FAA.

Ms. Ramadani started her career as a junior faculty member at the University of Belgrade, Department of Air Traffic and Transportation Engineering. With her interests shifting from academia to real-world problems, she moved into private consulting, where she led a wide range of airport and airspace analyses sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the FAA. In 2009, Almira joined the FAA to standardize the framework, metrics, and congressionally mandated reporting of benefits from field evaluations and deployments of NextGen technologies and operational improvements. In 2019, she transitioned to the FAA’s Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) team to help integrate TBO into the National Airspace System through data-driven decision-making and stakeholder coordination.

Ms. Ramadani holds a Bachelor of Science in Air Transportation Engineering from the University of Belgrade, and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
