Speaker Bio

Prateep Basu, an Aerospace Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), began his career as a scientist with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), where he managed projects for the GSLV MK-III rocket from 2010 to 2013. He later worked as a consultant at Northern Sky Research, a global leader in satellite industry consulting.
With over 12 years of experience in the space industry across India, the U.S., and Europe, Prateep has worked with large companies to develop technology and market strategies. He has also advised global investment banks and private equity firms on investment analysis and mergers & acquisitions.
At SatSure, Prateep has played a key role in building the business ecosystem, shaping product-market strategies, and managing client relationships worldwide. SatSure’s 160-member team brings together expertise in satellite remote sensing, data science, machine learning, and weather modeling, with over 125 years of combined industry experience.
