Unlocking convergence in airport ecosystems is critical to delivering fully integrated services that enhance efficiency, resilience, and the passenger experience. Yet, senior managers often face barriers when deploying platforms designed to connect diverse stakeholders. Siloed data ownership, misaligned incentives, legacy IT infrastructure, and concerns over governance, security, and accountability remain persistent challenges.
This panel will showcase how Hong Kong International Airport has taken a pioneering step forward with the world’s largest operational Digital Tower and Apron Management system, enabled by a shared digital platform. Together, air traffic control, airport operations, and partners are moving beyond fragmented decision-making to achieve collective situational awareness, optimize resources, and respond more effectively to disruptions.
Through their experience, participants will explore how embracing data-sharing models, fostering trust-based governance frameworks, and incentivizing cross-organizational collaboration can accelerate digital transformation.
Convergence is not just a technology milestone—it is an organizational and cultural shift. This session will reveal how Hong Kong’s example demonstrates the pathway from silos to synergy, delivering operational efficiency, passenger satisfaction, and long-term sustainability.
