Established in 1946, the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) moves with the times and unswervingly strives to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable air transportation system over some 70 years.  Hong Kong is an international aviation hub. Apart from the regulatory role in aviation safety, the CAD also provides air navigation services for the flights at the Hong Kong International Airport and in the Hong Kong Flight Information Region. We also work collaboratively with the international, regional and local aviation industry to promote aviation development.
