Dr Eduardo García is Senior Manager, Future Skies at CANSO, where he drives innovation across CANSO programmes and where he leads the organization’s efforts to advance the vision for the future of Air Traffic Management (ATM). He also coordinates the Complete Air Traffic System (CATS) Global Council.
Eduardo is actively involved with ICAO on a range of topics, particularly those concerning emerging technologies. He serves as the co-Chair of the Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU) Panel Project Team and is the Co-Rapporteur of the ICAO Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Vision group.
Previously, he was Manager for European ATM Coordination & Safety at CANSO and Associate Professor of ATM at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
His work has been recognised with the SESAR Distinguished Service Award and two IMechE honours (Safety Award in Mechanical Engineering; Derek George Astridge Safety in Aerospace Award).
He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Cum Laude), specialising in Air Traffic Management, and an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering with a focus on Air Navigation from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
